ipUnplugged's solution is based on three product components. Together, they create a complete mobile security solution designed to meet the convergence of mobility and security.

Roaming Gateway
The Roaming Gateway is the cornerstone of the ipUnplugged solution. It aggregates traffic from remote users, or from the Intranet and forwards the to to the Roaming Client's current position. Through the use of Mobile IP and IPSec VPN functionality, the Roaming Gateway provides a secure anchor point for mobile users, and traffic flows to/from them.

The Roaming Gateway also supports interconnection to a RADIUS compliant server (e.g., the Roaming Server) for the purpose of performing Accounting, Authentication, and Authorization. In addition, the Roaming Gateway provides Internet Access Control functionality, allowing an enterprise to offer guest Internet access services (free or paid) to its guests/customers or consultants visiting its site(s).

Roaming Client
The ipUnplugged Roaming Client is a client software that is installed on a laptop or a PDA. The client manages both the secure connection to the corporate network and the automatic seamless choice of network - all in a way that is transparent to the end-user.

The Roaming Client provides secure mobility both within campus areas (LAN to WLAN) and outside the office (public WLAN, GPRS, cdma2000/3G). When unplugging the corporate LAN cable, the Roaming Client automatically switches to WLAN and starts encrypting the traffic.

The Roaming Client is designed to relieve the end-users from cumbersome network configurations. The Roaming Client is easily downloaded and installed by the end-user. During the installation process, all user-specific configurations are automatically and securely downloaded to the Roaming Client.

The Roaming Client is available on Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Pocket PC platforms.

Roaming Server
The Roaming Server is designed to provide a scalable and powerful, yet user friendly tool for network configuration, security management, and subscriber data handling. The Roaming Server meets the requirements on scalability, high availability, and cost efficiency.

The Roaming Server is a system with complete AAA functionality for providing seamless roaming in multiple access networks. The Roaming Server can map easy- to- use service profiles to complex firewall rules and distribute those to the appropriate network entities.

Together with the Roaming Gateway, the Roaming Server handles all features related to service access control at public and corporate hotspots, as well as the dynamic AAA features neededfor a full-scale deployment.
